Marty was begging for another chance after succeeding at the major league level. Karim to my knowledge has never had a full season to do so in the majors. The guy is also only 25-26 years old, with Cordova being a little bit older. Anyway I'm glad he's back, I really think he can succeed, I was upset when we let him get away.

Shapiro was handed this years Marty Cordova (Karim Garcia) and just could not give a Hart Signee a chance. It's become painfully obvious that any Hart signee is not as welcome as a Shapiro Prospect.
I find that unfortunate.
I suppose for Shapiro to NOW give Karim a chance is truly amazing. The Better Karim does, the worse it will make Shapiro look for not giving Karim a chance 3-4 months earlier.
Time for that flack jack, cuz Shapiro's gonna need to be cut some flack if Karim keeps hammering the ball.
Karim was outright mashing the ball in the Minors. Does anyone have his final stats during his 19 game minor league hitting streak. I think they were pretty amazing.

Um, was Karim rookie of the year, did I miss it? He's not Marty Cordova at all. He might be better. It's just not a valid comparison.
Shapiro wants to build a winner. He's not interested in where the pieces come from.
Ferchrissakes we have Karim back, what are you complaining about?
